There are many ways to participate in the WashU & Slavery Project
Research, Teaching & Creative Contributions
Participate in the project as a WashU or community-based research, teaching or creative collaborator. WashU students may do so through paid assistantships, internships, independent study, and other means. Faculty, staff, alumni and broader community members interested in collaboration we ask to reach out via the Contact Us page.
Attend relevant workshops and events organized by WashU & Slavery, through the global consortium of Universities Studying Slavery, and otherwise at WashU and the wider St. Louis community.
Enroll in a course, internship, or other teaching and learning opportunity to study and otherwise engage histories and legacies of slavery. These include projects related courses listed here and various other opportunities to develop project connections, through internships, directed study, capstones, and more.
Have a question or suggestion? Interested in becoming involved in the project or sharing related teaching, research or creative work? Contact the WashU & Slavery Project.
