22nd Annual Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration

All are welcome at the 22nd Annual Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration on Saturday, October 19 at the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing (Missouri's first nationally recognized Underground Railroad site - located at 28 East Grand Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63147 along the Mississippi River).

The theme of this year's event is "American Slavery: Wouldn't Take Nothing for My Journey." There will be activities for all ages from 1-4pm including gospel choirs, vendors, community resources, children's games, and a historical performance reenacting escapes from enslavement. There will be an optional group bike ride from the Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing to the Gateway Arch and back along the Mississippi Greenway from 12-1pm. A flyer with additional information is attached.

If you would like to sign up for an exhibitor booth and have not already done so, the booth registration form is available on the event website at www.MaryMeachum.org

Volunteers are needed for setup, cleanup, and directing traffic on the day of the event.
